An article in the National Geographic talks about the coronavirus being spread from faeces and that flushing the toilet could in fact spread the virus faster and further.
The recent study, used computer models to demonstrate that small droplets known as aerosols are made when flushing the toilet and can be sent up to 3 feet (0.91 m) into the air.
The issue is that studies regarding MERS a relative coronavirus and COVID-19, can survive in the digestive tract due to their thin membrane that protect them, unlike the noroviruses.
These droplets can remain in the air for some time allowing other people to breath in the droplets and contract the disease.
