Low Level Ozone Now Being Used to Help Protect Care Home Residents and Staff.
Ozone is the most powerful disinfectant known to man and is now being used in Residential Care Homes in their fight against coronavirus.
Many Care homes have been devastated by the coronavirus with many of the elderly residents and staff becoming infected.

More About Ozone
Ozone has been used commercially for many years to sanitise, sterilise and disinfect hospital operating theatres, dentist equipment, breweries, food processing plants and sewage water. It has also been used successfully for certain medical ailments like hard to treat fungal and bacterial infections as well as medially to treat Covid patients, (although without the approval of the FDA).
Ozone is a gas molecule made up of 3 oxygen atoms with amazing disinfectant properties. It destroys the coronavirus by oxidisation, breaking down the outer protein shell of the virus, preventing it from replicating or attaching itself to host cells.
Unlike some chemicals there is no toxic residue after using ozone. Ozone that is not used in the sanitisation process reverts back to oxygen over time or if speed is required carbon can be used neutralise any remaining ozone.

Like all strong disinfectants, liquids and gases, ozone needs to be treated with care and safety procedures should always be followed. While low dose units produce ozone that does not exceed recommended safety levels, prolonged exposure to high levels of ozone can be detrimental to health, but it is generally considered safer than chlorine and other chemicals and easier to use than chemical fogging.
Ozone treatment is not a replacement for a good cleaning regime but used as an added layer of protection.
